What is the difference between a ‘Visually Corrupt’ file and a ‘Meta Corrupt’ file?
A visually corrupt file is one that will have visual glitches when displayed or will not display at all. These files are corrupt.
A meta corrupt file is one that is visually OK but part of the meta data (information about the file) is incorrect, non conformant or corrupt. These files should not pose such a concern but could indicate an issue with your storage or backup mechanism.
